Sew With Sophie was birthed in 2014 in Kent, Ohio while Sophia was wrapping up the final year of her Master's Degree at Kent State University. While teaching private lessons with a sustainable focus, Sophie found that more students were interested in learning how to operate a sewing machine while making projects of their choosing. 

 

Since then, Sew With Sophie has grown into a mobile Sewing Lesson Program and we've had students from Maryland, Texas, Louisiana and New York enroll in weekly classes. We are currently based in Katy, TX and we offer lessons to the Greater Houston Area as well as After-school programs in various school districts. 

 

At Sew With Sophie, we focus on teaching the skills of sewing, handworks and more to students of all ages.  Our students are as young as 7 years old, and we have many mother-daughter groups as well as sewing parties for large groups and Summer Camps. 

 

We've recently included a BRAND NEW SEWING MACHINE in some of our packages for our students to keep after their first lesson.
